This necklace is in excellent condition. In fact it doesn't appear to have been worn. It is elegant in its simplicity and rich in the quality of construction. It could pass for real gold. It was made by M&S, M and S and has the little tag attached at the back. This stands for Marks and Spencer of London UK fame.
It is gold plated and consists of 12 strands of golden chain. The chains are very fluid which adds to the lushness of the necklace. It has an adjustable extender chain. The chains measure from 14 to 18 inches. The extender chain is 3 inches. Because of the many strands this necklace is best stored hanging on a hook. Not sure of the age. It is preowned but not necessarily old. My best guess is early 1980s. Condition is excellent. Very giftable.
